Independently owned by Heather Reilly, the assortment she curates is inspired by her love of interior decoration, fashion, and travel.  Heather got her start in the home furnishings and gift industries in 2001 by managing a multi-line wholesale showroom at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago.  From there she had a short stint as an associate merchant at a national catalog company.  

Through these experiences, Heather formed connections and relationships with people and vendors she continues to work with today.  Her ultimate goal was to have a store of her own and in 2010 adelé began.  From its brick & mortar beginnings in the Chevy Chase neighborhood of Heather's hometown of Lexington, KY, adelé has grown into a lifestyle boutique with customers across the country and has twice been named a Retail Star by trade publication Home Accents Today. 

In this 10th year of business, a new way of retailing has emerged for Heather, as she concentrates solely on the growing e-commerce side of her business and hosting pop-up events at various locations throughout the year.  

Heather is inspired by the work of Jonathan Adler, Kit Kemp, Circa Who, and many more. She loves bold colors, big patterns, and a fresh modern take on traditional home decor. When she opened adelé 10 years ago, she had a dream to bring this modern style into more homes. She also saw her store as an opportunity to support small designers and find unique decor!
